protectS

When Steri3X is applied to a clean, dry wound, the microbicidal agent kills all bacteria, fungus, and virus on contact, distinguishing good cells from bad ones.

As Steri3X dries, a film barrier is formed that blocks harmful elements (such as water, dirt, and germs) from gaining access into the wound.

The flexible protective barrier also prevents oxygen entry into the wound which helps “jump start” the healing process. Less free oxygen will be present, which will reduce the number of free radicals that can damage tissue.

As the protective barrier forms, carbon dioxide (infused into the liquid polymers during the manufacturing process) is released. This lowers the pH and helps to promote healing.

PROMOTES

As the capillary system brings oxygen to the wound, the protective film barrier captures this oxygen which serves as the fuel for re-epithelialization (wound healing).

As a result, Steri3X prevents infection from occurring, and promotes the healing process.
